A The Energy Monitoring Device is designed to efficiently monitor and manage power consumption in industrial settings. The primary objective of this device is to prevent excessive energy consumption that could lead to financial penalties imposed by the government. By leveraging IoT technology, this device offers real-time monitoring and control of energy usage, ensuring that industries stay within their prescribed power limits.

Features

  • Maximum Demand Control as per user settings
  • 3 Digital Output Control (250VAC/3A) to Control the Equipments like Buzzer,Feeder,Motor
  • Enabled with LoRa Communication for Long Distance Operation
  • 4G/5G/GPRS Module for Data Loggingand Reports Android Application and Web based Device management
  • Wireless User Configuration

Overview

  • The Energy Monitoring Device is designed to deliver precise and efficient power management in industrialenvironments through a sophisticated integration of several key technologies. At the heart of the system is the 32
  • Bit microcontroller, which coordinates data collection, processing, and communication.
  • Instead of relying on Wi-Fi, the device uses the GPRS connectivity, employing AT commands to interact with Firebase. This enables the device to fetch essential configuration details such as device ID, location, and maximum threshold values, and to post real-time data updates.
  • The LoRa module provides reliable long-range communication between the master and slave devices, ensuring effective data transfer and control signals. For data acquisition, the device interfaces with an MFM via RS485,accurately capturing power consumption metrics. On the slave side, industrial relays are used to manage powersupply, automatically shutting down units that exceed set thresholds, while a hooter delivers audible alerts to signal critical conditions.
  • The system updates data every 15 seconds, maintaining precise monitoring and control. Monthly reports are generated in Excel format, offering detailed insights into power consumption patterns. This comprehensive design ensures real-time monitoring, automated control, and effective reporting, enhancing overall energy management and compliance in industrial settings.
